Introduction

SnapMacro ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services.

Data We Collect

Personal Information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and name to personalize your experience and sync your data.

Health Data: We collect and process nutrition data (calories, macronutrients) and weight logs that you input or that our AI generates from your photos.

Image Data: When you snap a photo of your meal, the image is sent to our AI analysis provider (Google Gemini) for the sole purpose of identifying food and nutritional content. We do not use these images for advertisement or third-party marketing.

Camera Permissions

SnapMacro requires access to your device's camera to enable its core functionality: visual nutrition analysis. Camera access is ONLY used when you explicitly trigger a food scan. Images are processed in real-time and are either stored securely in your private account (if using Cloud Sync) or discarded after analysis (if using Guest Mode).

Data Storage & Security

We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for data in transit. Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase. If you use Guest Mode, your logs are stored locally on your device and are never synced to our servers.

Account & Data Deletion

You have full control over your data. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:

  1. Open the SnapMacro app.
  2. Go to the Profile or Settings tab.
  3. Tap on Delete Account.
  4. Confirm the deletion.

Once confirmed, your profile, meal history, and all health data will be permanently removed from our servers immediately. There is no recovery option for deleted data.
